Who we are
Grassroots Development Organization (“GDO”, “we”) is a non-bank microfinance company licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, with its registered office at Layyah Road, Near Railway Gate, Karor Lal Esan, District Layyah, Punjab, Pakistan. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website.
What we collect
When you submit a form we collect the details you enter: name, phone number, email address, district or city, your message and any choices you make (for example a loan product or donation amount). We do not ask for your CNIC, bank account or card details through this website.
We also record the page you submitted from and the language you used. If you accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymous usage statistics such as pages viewed and device type.
How we use it
We use your details only to respond to your enquiry — for example to call you back about a loan, confirm a donation pledge, reply to a partnership request or consider a volunteer or job application — and to improve our services. We do not sell your information.
Who sees it
Your message is emailed to the relevant GDO team and a copy is stored on our secure hosting. Service providers that host this website or deliver email may process data on our behalf. We may share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them and meet our legal and audit obligations, then delete or anonymise them.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@gdo.org.pk. You can decline analytics cookies at any time (see our Cookie notice).
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children's data.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and forms use spam protection and rate limiting. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive documents through the contact forms.
