Loans & borrowers
What loans does GDO offer?
GDO offers three loan products — Fori Qarza (quick working capital), Karobar Qarza (start or grow a small business) and SME Qarza (established small and medium enterprises) — plus client health and life insurance.
How do I apply for a GDO loan?
Contact us on WhatsApp, call +92 606 811811, request a call-back on this website, or visit our office in Karor Lal Esan or Multan. A loan officer will discuss your business and guide you through the next steps.
Where does GDO give loans?
GDO works in Layyah and Bhakkar districts of Punjab, with offices in Karor Lal Esan and Multan. Ask us if your area is covered.
Are there any fees, and who do I pay?
Any charges on a loan are explained to you in writing by GDO staff before you accept it. Never pay anyone to “guarantee” or fast-track a loan, and never send money to a personal account. If someone asks you for money in GDO's name, call our office to verify.
Are women able to take loans?
Yes — about 80% of GDO's borrowers are women. Many join through women's saving groups.
Can I take another loan after repaying?
Many of our clients take successive loans after repaying — a sign that they are benefiting. Your loan officer will explain eligibility for a next loan.
Trust & regulation
Is GDO licensed and regulated?
Yes. GDO is a public company registered under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984 (now the Companies Act 2017) and holds SECP licence No. NBMFC-1066 to operate as a non-bank microfinance company. The licence is restricted to micro-financing.
How does GDO control its money?
Accounts are kept on a double-entry system, transactions are made by cheque with two signatories and checked with bank reconciliations, and the organisation runs an annual internal audit plus audits by donor agencies and an annual audit by a recognised chartered accountant firm.
How can I check that a message or website is really GDO?
Our only official website is gdo.org.pk and our official email is info@gdo.org.pk. See our Verify GDO page, and call +92 606 811811 to confirm anything you are unsure about.
How do I make a complaint?
Use our Complaints & feedback page, WhatsApp, email info@gdo.org.pk or call our office. We take every complaint seriously.
Donating & partnering
How can I donate to GDO?
Send a donation pledge through our Donate page or WhatsApp. Our team will contact you with the official bank details and confirm receipt, so your gift always reaches GDO.
Can I give Zakat or Sadaqah?
Eligibility for Zakat depends on the programme. Please ask our team before you give and we will confirm in writing which programmes can receive it.
Can an organisation or company partner with GDO?
Yes. We partner with donors, CSR teams, NGOs and government departments. Use our Partner with us page to share your interest and we will respond with a programme overview.
Can I volunteer?
