GDO has a committed team serving partner communities and providing technical backstopping to build their capacities at individual and institutional levels. Over the years it has gained project management and implementation experience in micro-credit, education, human and institutional development, and livelihood development.
This expertise is applied through capacity-building interventions, mainstreaming gender development, advocacy and institutional strengthening. GDO also gives technical assistance to local community organisations, village forums and saving groups in project development, management and monitoring.
GDO works with national and multinational donors across its thematic areas: social mobilisation, micro-finance and enterprise development, education, disaster risk management, one-room shelters, entrepreneurship, youth skills training and advocacy.
